Please come join us on Tuesday night, September 16th, from 5pm to 7pm, for an evening dedicated to suspended gardens.
We will show you the techniques behind our signature creations 

and share light appetizers, drinks and laughs!

Supersize my flowers Thursday!

You can admire her compositions every week in the Lobby of The Cloister at Sea Island.

"Sea Oats Grasses and Nerine Lillies introduce our local coastal landscape to the guests, while the use of Kale and White Squall give the arrangement its unique touch."

As Paul Klee would say, "One eye sees, the other feels."

Supersize my flowers thursday!

Enjoy this week's lobby's arrangement at The Cloister at Sea Island ! An explosion of crisp white Dendrobium and lime green Cymbidiums orchids created by the amazing Kathryn Davenport.

 You can really appreciate the size of this arrangement on this picture ! 

This Wednesday at the shop

Orchids, wristlets, pretty girls, succulents and cacti.

Tiny space, big impact

1ft by 8ft.

That's the size of one of the two front beds at the Vine Garden Market. One could argue, 16 square feet, it's hardly anything for a garden... Unless, you have a little bit of imagination, dirt and sunlight. 

We planted our beds in April and everything is developing beautifully!

Back planted with boxwoods, you'll find first stage : Sedum rupestre "Lemon Ball", Serpents "Blue Chalk Fingers" (Senecio vitals Serpents), Succulents "echeveria" of various types and Golden Globes Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia Golden Globe).

The goal was to play with textures and various shades of green for a relaxed and lush look that will still perform even in the scorching heat of August.

Patriotic touches

What else could you possibly come up with for Independence Day?! A few banners have started to pop up under the patio and all over the island. We, islanders, are all crossing our fingers for a sunny Thursday but frankly, chances are, this year's 4th of July is going to be wet (please attach sounds of a crowd booing...!)

Our shop is going to close its doors on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th, so hurry up to pick up a cute hostess gift : she's going to need a little splash of color, star spangled banner and house greeneries with the gray days ahead.
